Global Security Asia 2009

 

Global Security Asia is the only dedicated Homeland Security Event in the Asia Pacific Region that addresses challenges and solutions to Asymmetric Warfare.

Asymmetric Warfare was little known in the military lexicon until the late 1990s. Although there are many definitions to describe Asymmetric Warfare, one that is commonly used is one that is commonly used is “the unexpected and unconventional approach to undermine a nation’s strength by exploiting their weaknesses through the novel use of existing technologies and through the application of unconventional technology in an unexpected manner.”

It is with this in mind that many nations have now developed their Homeland Security organizations and infrastructures to ensure they are ready to tackle any unforeseen terrorist attacks to reduce their vulnerability, minimize the damage and achieve a quick recovery from attacks that do occur.

Global Security Asia was conceived to serve the global community and present it with a platform for industry, Governments and professionals to meet, interact, network and develop solutions to build their Homeland Security organizations and infrastructures.
